Eron LuttermanStrategic Experiences

I design and host experiences in the real world and build the business models to support them. Here are a few that I’m proud of.

COLLINS House

As Managing Director, I built the Audience & Partnerships discipline from scratch alongside my co-founder, Alex Athanasiou. The discipline quickly spun out as its own business unit, and we owned the P&L from sponsorship strategy to execution and hosting. We were lucky to help continue COLLINS’ 8-year streak as Agency of the Year.

Lutterman Eats

I’ve spent a fairly unreasonable amount of my life thinking about food. Lutterman Eats is where I’ve kept track of it: meals worth crossing town for, people worth getting to know, and the occasional very ambitious cooking project.

That obsession found its way into work. I worked in food investing at Big Idea Ventures, focused on alternative proteins, then joined TableTab, a startup building point-of-sale software for restaurants. At Chobani, I worked with the Incubator team and helped lay the groundwork for bringing its program to Guatemala. Later, I became NuMarket’s first Foodie in Residence, which I’m pretty sure will be the coolest job title I’ll ever have.

Before graduating from UNC, I took over Carrboro Town Commons for a food festival. One hundred pounds of pulled pork. Three bands. Ten artists. More than 200 people. One damn good afternoon. A way to say thanks to the town and the people who had made it home.

Through all of it, I’ve been addicted to the way food brings people together. For my generation, a meal was often the rare two hours in a day when nobody was thinking about touching their phone. Good food gets people to sit down. What happens after that is the part I keep coming back for.
